Accident recovery work covers a wide range of situations across our service area.
These often leave vehicles with front-end or rear-end damage that makes them unsafe to drive.
Side impacts frequently damage steering and suspension, requiring careful loading.
High-speed collisions on busy routes create traffic control issues and require quick, safe clearing.
When a vehicle tips onto its side or roof, controlled upright recovery is needed before towing.
These scenes involve several damaged units and require coordinated recoveries to reopen roadways.
Accident recovery goes beyond a normal tow. Damaged vehicles don’t always roll. Wheels lock, frames bend, parts break loose, and fluids spill. Each recovery is different based on how the crash happened and where the vehicle came to rest.
Disabled Vehicle Removal
Cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles that can’t move under their own power are carefully removed from the scene.
Off-Road & Ditch Recoveries
Vehicles that slide into ditches, woods, medians, or soft ground often require controlled winching. Learn more on our Winching & Off-Road Recovery page.
Traffic Lane Clearing
In crashes that block travel lanes, fast and safe removal helps reduce secondary accidents and long traffic backups.
Vehicle Transport After a Wreck
Once recovered, vehicles are transported to repair shops, storage yards, dealerships, or other approved locations.
We handle accident recovery for all vehicle sizes:
Small collisions may only need Light Duty Towing, while larger crashes often require Medium Duty Towing or Heavy Duty Towing. The size of the vehicle and the type of damage determine the recovery method.
Once first responders arrive and the scene is stabilized, recovery begins. The damaged vehicle is assessed, secured, and removed from the roadway. If it can roll, it’s loaded using wheel-lift or flatbed equipment. If it can’t, winching, lifting, or staged recovery methods are used. Once secured, the vehicle is transported to the location requested by the owner or directed by authorities.
If cargo is involved and the load must be transferred before movement, Load Swapping may be needed.
We respond to accident scenes across:
From quiet residential streets to heavy traffic zones in Glynn County, accident recovery looks different at every location. Tight streets, soft shoulders, rain-soaked pavement, and poor lighting all change how a vehicle must be removed.
One rainy evening, a driver lost control on a curve and slid into a ditch near a back road outside town. The car was upright but buried in wet soil. The driver was shaken but unhurt. A careful winch pull followed by a short tow got the vehicle back to pavement without causing more damage.
Another call involved a box truck struck at an intersection. The rear axle was damaged, and the truck blocked traffic in two lanes. Traffic was rerouted while the truck was lifted, secured, and transported to a repair yard. Those recoveries stick with you because everyone on scene just wants the road clear and the stress to end.
Weather and seasonal traffic both shape accident recovery here.
Summer Travel
Increased road traffic brings more crashes, especially on unfamiliar coastal routes.
Storm Season
Rain reduces visibility and traction, leading to slide-offs and hydroplaning crashes.
Winter Cold Snaps
Though rare, cold mornings still bring slick bridges and tire failures.
